					PT SMGP Continued Ramadhan Safari with Orphan Donations and Visit to PWI Mandailing Natal in 2025

Mandailing Natal, 28 March 2025 – PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power (PT SMGP), a subsidiary of KS Orka Renewables Pte. Ltd. located in Mandailing Natal, North Sumatra, once again held its annual Ramadhan Safari by donating to orphans and visiting the head office of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Mandailing Natal Regency in March 2025.

Ade Robi, CDCR Coordinator at PT SMGP, stated:
“This orphan donation is part of our ongoing commitment each Ramadhan as a form of care for the local community. We hope this assistance not only eases their burden but also brings joy and renewed spirit to the orphans we support. We hope this initiative continues and provides broader benefits to the community.”

The donation during the Ramadhan Safari consisted of staple food packages provided to 891 orphans spread across 31 villages and sub-districts within three sub-districts in PT SMGP's operational area, namely: Puncak Sorik Marapi District, Lembah Sorik Marapi District, and South Panyabungan District.

PT SMGP’s Visit to the PWI Mandailing Natal Office
As part of efforts to maintain good relations with local media who consistently provide balanced information coverage for the local community, PT SMGP’s team also visited the head office of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) in Mandailing Natal Regency. The visit was warmly welcomed by the Chairman Muhammad Ridwan, Secretary Zamhari Rangkuti, and the extended PWI Mandailing Natal family.

In response to the visit, Muhammad Ridwan, Chairman of PWI Mandailing Natal, expressed his appreciation: “We would like to thank the leadership and management team of PT SMGP for visiting our office. This holy month of Ramadhan is a perfect and meaningful time for us to maintain and strengthen our ties.”

PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power (SMGP) is the legal holder of the right to manage and develop geothermal resources in Sorik Marapi – Roburan – Sampuraga Geothermal Work Area in Mandailing Natal, North Sumatra.
